I was a fan since I was a kid. I remember when I was in high school in Jinan, I had many happy times in the cinema. My understanding of Zheng Junli started from the early days of the 1930s, “Tian Lun” and “Lost Lamb.” Later I read many of his movies, and he and Cai Chusheng’s “One River Flows Eastward” once convinced me deeply. After the liberation, he read “Uya and the Sparrow”, “Between us and her”, “Song Jingshi”, “Lin Zexu” and “Nie Er”, each of which inspired me. But although he has gradually become an idol in my mind, I never thought of it before he became my first guide on the path of shadow.
