最近,伺服公司正在发展行阵列(Linear array)技术。据称可以探测到整个轴箱。 近年来,国外热轴探测器没有突破性发展。各家公司的红外轴温探测器,滚动轴承的声学探测器以及车上检测系统差不多都是这样。 声学探测的发展了若干年,产品主要是Burlinston Northern、伺服和哈曼。现有6部声学探测器在BN地区使用,取得了良好的进展。探测兑现率达90%,即检测出的热滚动轴承,有90%是故障轴承。另外,还有6套分布在各地(太平洋地区2个,NS、Conrail、加拿大国铁、和英国国铁各1个)。声学探测器的改进和性能完善还要继续研究。但是,整个进程要取决于铁路的发展和政府的投资。
