Objective To investigate the changes of serum inflammatory cytokines such as IL-6, PCT and CRP in children with bacterial infection and to analyze their correlation with the severity of the illness in children. Methods 100 children with bacterial infectious diseases in hospital from January 2013 to December 2015 were selected as the study group and 50 healthy children in the same period were taken as the control group. The levels of IL-6, PCT and CRP in serum were measured and observed The levels of IL-6, PCT and CRP in children with bacterial infectious disease with different disease severity were analyzed. The correlation was analyzed. The data were analyzed by SPSS19.0 software. Results The serum levels of IL-6, PCT and CRP in the study group were (67.82 ± 11.74) pg / ml and (5.21 ± 1.25) ng / ml and (45.72 ± 7.93) ng / (P <0.05). Serum levels of IL-6 and PCT in children with severe infection were significantly higher than those in the control group (P <0.05) And CRP expression was significantly higher in children with mild and moderate infections, children with moderate infection IL-6, PCT and CRP expression was higher in children with mild infection, the three groups, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). There was a positive correlation between IL-6, PCT and CRP and the severity of bacterial infectious diseases in children (P <0.05). Conclusion The serum IL-6, PCT and CRP in children with bacterial infectious diseases are abnormally increased, and the expression is closely related to the severity of the disease in children. IL-6, PCT and CRP can be used as the diagnosis of the disease and the degree of disease Important indicator.
