Taking the farmland in Wuxian, Jiangsu Province as an example, the changes of heavy metal elements in soils under intensive economic development were studied. The results showed that the total amount of Cu and Pb exceeded the background value with the exception of Zn approaching the background value. Pb in soils in the fast-developing industrial areas was significantly higher than that in the agricultural environment; their effective content had reached a rich or excessive supply level, and the industrial The environment was significantly higher than the agricultural environment; the activation rate of heavy metal elements showed strong impact of industrial development on heavy metal pollution of soil environment. The potential impact of this 20-30-year-scale changes in soil environment on water environment, food safety and environmental safety must be closely watched by scientists and policymakers.
