如何争取更多观众,已成为话剧界共同关心的问题。我认为。文艺要为人民服务、为社会主义服务,离开为八亿农民服务便成为一句空话。话剧在坚持城市剧场演出的同时,如何走出城市大剧院,上山下乡到广大农民观众中去开拓阵地,已经成了十分迫切的课题。青岛市话剧团演出的《哥仨和媳妇们》,在探讨如何争取农村观众的问题上,可以给我们一些启发。《哥仨和媳妇们》是一出反映农村计划生育题材的多幕话剧。该戏已演出三百八十多场,收入达十一万余元。其中在城市地区演出二百二十余场,在农村地区演出一百五十余场。平均上座率都达百分之九十以上。老实说,《哥仨和媳妇们》并非当前话剧新作中的佼佼者,然而,它不但在城市拥有大量观众,尤其受到广大农民观众的真诚欢迎。他们是如何开拓农村阵地,争取农民观众的呢?
