美术史本科的专业教学,说到底是一种兴趣教育。因为美术史作为一门独立的人文学科,特别注重在学术研究中的自由探索的精神。凡是人所关心的,它都不应当陌生。所谓兴趣,正是以这种自由探索精神为动力的。也许我们会觉得当下的教育时尚应趋于务实,培养技能型实用人才,而主张兴趣教育则与之大相径庭,格格不入。其实问题很简单,我们不必指望人人都成为艺术史家,能最后择此为业的学生永远只是少数。所以当社会非常看好实用技能教育之时,在高等美术学府坚持和倡导一下体现人文主义理想的专业兴趣教育,应该是十分适宜的。“风物长宜放眼量”,我们从事专业教学的老师,目光短浅、急功近利是没有前途的。
Art history undergraduate teaching, after all, is an interest in education. Because art history as an independent humanities, with special emphasis on academic research in the spirit of free exploration. It should not be strange to anyone who cares. The so-called interest is motivated by this spirit of free exploration. Perhaps we may think that the current education fashion should become more pragmatic and train skilled practical talents. Interesting education advocates are totally different from each other. In fact, the problem is very simple. We do not have to expect everyone to become an art historian. Therefore, when the society is very optimistic about practical skills education, it should be very appropriate for higher arts schools to uphold and advocate professional interest education that embodies the ideal of humanism. “The length of the scenery should be taken into account,” we engaged in professional teaching teachers, short-sighted, quick success is no future.
