This article describes a new method for achieving scavenging on a four-stroke pulsed turbocharged diesel engine using a bimodal exhaust cam without deepening the valve pit at the top of the piston. This method has been tested on both 495Z and 6135Z turbocharged diesel engines , And achieved beneficial results.
