利用电磁场的热效应对带有裂纹的载流导体进行裂纹止裂,是达到延长其工作寿命、提高安全性和可靠性的一种行之有效的方法.理论计算和试验观察都证明了:载流导体中裂纹尖端处的热集中效应,能够在附近的一个很小范围内熔化形成微小的焊口,裂纹前缘处的曲率半径瞬间增加了2~3个数量级,显著地减少了应力集中,阻止了干线裂纹源的形成,有效地遏制了裂纹的扩展。本文阐述了这一物理过程的研究现状、进展情况以及未来应用前景.
