2001年版的《新格罗夫音乐与音乐家辞典》在民族音乐学的词条中写道:“连续的微电子(从晶体管到晶体硅到网络)革命,在20世纪后半叶,对大众和传媒有着不可估计的影响。横扫世界的大众媒介音乐运动,成为民族音乐学逃避不了的事实。”对传媒性音乐的研究,1984年起在英文学界保持着持续不退的热度,并诞生了相对完整的整体叙事框架。通过对期刊《民族音乐学》(Ethnomusicology)、《音乐世界》(The World of Music)和“ICTM”的年鉴(Year Book of“ICTM”)中传媒性音乐研究的梳理,理解英文学界在该领域的研究视角、理论范式和热点话题,给我们以参照去理解面对传媒世界的传统音乐。
The 2001 edition of the New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians wrote in the entry of ethnomusicology: “The continuous revolution in microelectronics (from transistor to crystalline silicon to the network), in the second half of the twentieth century, of The public and the media have an inestimable impact. The mass media music movement sweeping the world has become a fact that can not be evaded by ethnomusicology. ”" The study of media music has been a continuous hot spot in English literature since 1984 The birth of a relatively complete overall narrative framework. Through a review of the study of media music in Ethnomusicology, The World of Music and the Yearbook of ICTM, The academic field of research perspective, theoretical paradigms and hot topics, give us a reference to understand the traditional music facing the media world.
