The “Tetsuo Tetsu-no-Etsuchi” by Manchu clan Saqda Shuangpao of the Qing dynasty was a rare novel that inherited the strange tradition of note-writing and showed us many weird and strange personalities and customs . Because the author has a conscious historical consciousness and upholds the documentary tradition emphasized by “Yue Wei Cottage Notes”, this collection can, to a certain extent, serve as a historical material for studying the society in southwest China in the mid-Qing period. Despite the author’s pursuit of credibility, there are still some chapters in this collection that have exerted artistic constructivism and high literary qualities, thus becoming a noteworthy page in the history of notes and novels in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
