本文利用中日两国档案,尤其是日本外务省外交史料馆所藏《新闻杂志操纵关系杂纂——国闻报(在天津汉字新闻)》专档,探讨《国闻报》创建过程、在维新运动中的作用、戊戌政变后的表现、在中国新闻史上的地位及其最后结局,揭示了严复、王修植、夏曾佑等天津地区的改革派人士的办报活动以及日本和俄国与这份维新派报纸的特殊关系。
In this paper, we use the archives of China and Japan, in particular the “News Magazine Manipulated Relationships and Compilation - The State Newspaper (in Tianjin, Chinese Characters News)” in the document of the Foreign Affairs Department of Japan Foreign Ministry to discuss the process of creating the “State Newspaper” The role of the reform movement, the performance after the coup of 1898, its position in the history of Chinese news and its final outcome revealed the newspaper-run activities of reformists in Tianjin such as Yan Fu, Wang Xiu-zhi and Xia Zeng-you and the relations between Japan and Russia and the reformers Newspaper special relationship.
