蒙特利尔—加拿大太平洋铁路1986年计划投资5亿加元,用于提高主要干线的通过能力、改善线路及建筑物、购买新型机车、修建新的设备以及完成电子计算机运营管理自动化系统。计划中约150M加元用在不列颠哥伦比亚省塞尔扣克山脉铁路的罗杰斯通道的落坡、修建第二线和隧道等工程。主要是在麦克顿尔德山修建北美最长的隧道。隧道的开凿是分别从东西两个方向同时进行的,预计今年将打通长14.7km的隧道。
Montreal-Canada Pacific Railway plans to invest 500 million Canadian dollars in 1986 to increase the capacity of major trunk lines, improve the lines and buildings, purchase new locomotives, build new equipment and complete the computerized operation management automation system. About 150M Canadian dollars planned for the fall of the Rogers Pass in the Selkirk Mountains railway in British Columbia, the construction of the second line and tunnels. Mainly in the Mt. Macleton Hills to build the longest tunnel in North America. The excavation of the tunnel was conducted from both east and west at the same time. It is estimated that a 14.7 km tunnel will be opened this year.
