There gathered a group of famous people who made progress in the cultural world, many of whom are members of the Communist Party of China. In his spare time, Shui often participated in the progressive cultural activities of their organization, and some people become close friends. He learned a lot from Mao Zedong’s accomplishments from his friends and greatly admired Mao Zedong. After joining the Communist Party in 1942, he knew more about Mao Zedong, so he was more respectful of Mao.
