英语专业四级考试(TEM-4)作为国家级测试,旨在检查各高校基础阶段的英语教学和学习情况,该测试的内容效度成为试题使用者最关心的问题。本研究以2012-2016年的TEM-4阅读真题为对象,采用Bachman&Palmer的任务特点框架(A framework of language task characteristic),结合阅读题型特点和新版《考试大纲》(2004)具体要求,通过分析语篇特征和期望回答特征来考查TEM-4阅读题型内容与考试大纲的吻合度,即探究测试内容是否达到《考试大纲》的要求。结果表明:1)从语篇输入特征来看,题材、体裁、生词、篇幅、阅读速度基本符合2004年新版大纲的要求和规定;2)从预期回答特征来看,答题形式丰富,2016年呈现出新形式,阅读技能覆盖广泛,侧重细节提取和逻辑推理能力。总而言之,近五年的专四阅读材料符合了《考试大纲》的基本要求,测试内容和测试目的基本一致。
As a national test, TEM-4 examines English teaching and learning in the basic stages of various colleges and universities. The content validity of the test has become a major concern for test question users. Based on the Bachman & Palmer’s A framework of language task characteristic, combined with the characteristics of reading questions and the specific requirements of the new “Syllabus for Examinations” (2004), this study, based on TEM-4 reading Zhenti of 2012-2016, Discourse characteristics and expected response characteristics to test the consistency of the TEM-4 reading type and the examination outline, that is, to explore whether the content of the test meets the requirements of the “syllabus”. The results show that: 1) According to the input characteristics of discourse, the themes, genres, new words, length and reading speed are in line with the requirements and regulations of the 2004 version of the outline; 2) From the expected response characteristics, the answer style is rich, A new form, extensive reading skills, focusing on details extraction and logical reasoning. All in all, the special reading materials of the past five years are in line with the basic requirements of the “Test Syllabus”, and the content of the test is basically the same as that of the test.
