“解构”成了后现代主义文化风潮下的一道最为独特的风景,在这一潮流的冲击下,传统的文学经典受到质疑,人们需要一种新的价值认知来替代固有的观念沉疴,在此需求下,当代西方文坛上众多反经典、解构经典的作品蜂拥呈现,如加拿大女作家玛格丽特·阿特伍德的《珀涅罗珀记》和美国作家约翰·厄普代克的《葛特露与克劳狄斯》,前者是对荷马史诗《奥德修纪》的颠覆,后者是对莎翁名著《哈姆雷特》的解构。本文试通过这两个解构文本作一番比较阅读,以期窥见当代后现代解构风景的整体的精神特质。
Under the impact of this trend, the traditional literary classics have been questioned, and people need a new kind of value cognition to replace the inherent concept sinking In this demand, many contemporary antiquarians in the Western literary arena deconstruct classic works such as the Canadian writer Margaret Atwood’s “Penelope” and the American writer John Updike’s “Gertrude and Claudius”, the former is the subversion of Homer “Odyssey,” the latter is the deconstruction of Shakespeare’s famous “Hamlet.” This article attempts to read through these two deconstructed texts in order to get a glimpse of the overall spiritual characteristics of contemporary post-modern deconstruction landscapes.
