目前,职业教育存在着功利化倾向,不利于职业教育的健康发展。职业学校本来具有双重任务,一是为社会培养合格的公民,二是为用人单位培养合格的技能型人才。但在实际工作中,或者说在一些职业教育办学者的办学理念和指导思想中,都忽略了第一个方面的任务,把职业教育看成纯粹是为“职业”而举办的“教育”。沿着这个路子走下去,职业学校的路子就会越来越窄,学生的适应能力就会越来越差,专业设置以及课程体系就会更加不重视夯实基础。教育一旦有了功利性,其崇高性、理想性必然消失殆尽。在这样的情势下,素质教育在职业学校里就没有了位 At present, vocational education has the tendency of utilitarianism, which is not conducive to the healthy development of vocational education.
