本文旨在对非英语专业硕士研究生语用能力进行调查。以调查问卷为调查工具,所有数据均用SPSS19.0以及Excel进行处理和分析。结果表明非英语专业研究生的语用能力趋近及格水平且与预期结果相差较多。在语用失误方面,受试者的社交语用失误多于语言语用失误。而导致这一现象的原因主要有:教师语用知识的缺失;学生语境知识的缺乏;百科知识不齐全;母语的负迁移等。本文最后提出了相应的教学建议,以提高学生的语用能力来满足将来学习和交流的需求。
This article aims to investigate the pragmatic competence of non-English major postgraduates. Using the questionnaire as a survey tool, all data were processed and analyzed by SPSS 19.0 and Excel. The results show that the non-English majors’ pragmatic competence approached the passing level and differed from the expected results. In terms of pragmatic failure, the subjects’ social pragmatic failures were more than the pragmatic failures of language. The main reasons leading to this phenomenon are: the lack of teachers pragmatic knowledge; lack of knowledge of the students context; encyclopedic knowledge is not complete; the negative transfer of the mother tongue. At the end of this paper, the corresponding teaching suggestions are put forward to improve students’ pragmatic competence to meet the needs of future study and exchange.
