As a general, General Marshall is a very special soldier. He is a soldier and politician. “Napoleon on the Table ” Marshall graduated from the Virginia Military Institute in 1901 as the best student in his first year of the twentieth century. In 1902, Marshall entered the U.S. Army and settled in the Philippines. A year later, Marshall returned to the United States. During World War I, he again came to the French battlefield and became the chief of staff under General Pershing. On September 1, 1939, it was Hitler’s attack on Poland that General Marshall took office and became the chief of staff of the United States Army. Because of the unwillingness of the United States to become involved in the conflicts and wars in Europe for a long time, the standing army is very limited. With General Marshall in office, there were only 174,000 soldiers in his possession. The U.S. military was ranked 17th in the world at the time. Faced with a dangerous world situation, General Marshall rapidly raised the combat effectiveness of the United States military. During the Second World War, the U.S. military became the 8 million combatant capable of adapting to the global battlefield. Without this branch, it is impossible for the allies to defeat the Nazi troops and the Japanese army.
