Kawabata Yasunari’s life influenced by Buddhist thought. He paid close attention to the micro-world of Buddhism but did not understand the core values of Buddhism. He tried to enlarge his life to seriously explore, but always want to evade the real problems, to pursue the subtle and ethereal fantasy realm. This contradiction is reflected in the literature, forming the unique stylistic features of Kawabata’s literature. This article starts from the influence of Buddhism ’s concept of “all things being like, reincarnation ” on Kawabata’ s early period literature, tentatively explores its ideology of literature.
