As humankind’s demand for resources continues to increase, the supply of resources on land is becoming increasingly sluggish. Some countries and international mining companies are paying great attention and enthusiasm to the exploitation of deep-sea mineral resources. New Zealand mining company TTR has recently been allowed to mine iron ore in the Taranaki area on the west coast of the country. This is New Zealand’s first seabed mining project and the first commercial metal mining project on the seabed in the world. This result is expected to inspire more companies to exploit deep-sea mining. As a maritime nation, New Zealand has a total of 57 million square kilometers of exclusive economic seabed rich ore beyond imagination
