本文在概略讨论了吉林省前寒武纪地质演化与铁矿成矿作用的基础上,从含矿地层、原始沉积环境、变质作用、构造等对前寒武纪变质铁矿成矿的控制作用进行了分析。认为吉林省前寒武纪变质型铁矿完全受基底构造控制,含矿岩系原岩建造基本为海底火山建造;前寒武纪变质铁矿普遍经历了三期成矿作用;区域变质变形作用对矿床的形成起了决定性作用。
