The Peide Formation originally belonged to a set of coal-bearing terrestrial pyroclastic rocks beneath the Longzhaogou Group in the eastern part of the Heilongjiang Province, beneath the Mesozoic marine fossil layer. The plant fossils contained in this group are generally considered to be middle-small jungles belonging to the group Coniopteris Phoenicopsis Lo world portfolio. Radiolarian fossils were found in the gravel in the lower part of the Peide Formation, and the identification and comparison showed that these gravels originated from the Nadanada terrane in the east. Further analysis of the time and collage sites for the collage in Jiamusi and Nandhadasha suggested the disintegration of the “Longchugou” group and the revision of the age of the Peid Formation to the Cretaceous.
