In the “World War II” period, due to the objective conditions, letters and mail delivery took a long time. When it is not possible to mail a letter by shipping, it even depends on the ship. Soldiers also need to communicate with their loved ones, but a large amount of letters take up a lot of space for shipping strategic supplies. In view of this, British postal and Kodak companies have adopted a special way of mail delivery, called “aerial photo letter ”. It reduces the footprint and the weight of the goods, reducing shipping costs. The first aerial photo letter was sent back to Britain from Central Asia on May 13, 1941. However, little is known about the operation of such letters.
