东方企业是通过推进“全民上网工程”和承办“2003年度全国中小学网上夏令营”、全国中小学电脑制作、全国多媒体教育软件大奖赛等诸多影响巨大的活动而声名鹊起的。通过这些活动,在很短时间里新兴的东方企业的注册用户数量就已经超过了许多老牌的网络教育服务商。但是它运用什么模式赢利?又会在何时才能盈利?这正是目前东方企业的困惑。
Oriental enterprises have gained fame by advancing the project of “universal access to the Internet” and undertaking many influential activities such as “2003 National Summer Camp Online for Primary and Secondary Schools,” nationwide primary and secondary computer production, and the National Multimedia Education Software Grand Prix. Through these activities, the number of registered users of emerging Oriental enterprises in a very short period of time has surpassed that of many established online education service providers. But what model does it use for profit and when will it be profitable? This is the confusion of the current oriental enterprises.
