中学英语教学原则中有一条适当利用母语的原则,即英语课教学中,要利用和控制使用母语。中学生学习英语与幼儿学习母语不同,中学生已经熟练地掌握了母语,习惯于用汉语思维,学习英语时,总是自觉不自觉地把英语和母语联系起来,习惯于用母语去学习英语。由此可见,把母语作为英语教学手段,是可以提高英语课教学效果的,其关键在于合理利用和有效地控制母语。
There is a principle of proper use of mother tongue in the principle of secondary school English teaching, that is, to use and control the use of mother tongue in the teaching of English. Middle school students learning English and young children learning different mother tongue, high school students have mastered the native language, used to thinking in Chinese, learning English, always consciously or unconsciously to link English and mother tongue, accustomed to learning English in their own language. Thus, using the mother tongue as an English teaching method can improve the teaching effect of English classes. The key point is to use the mother tongue rationally and effectively.
