Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is an X-linked inherited muscle disorder with progress muscle fiber degeneration and replaced by connective and fatty tissues.The patients will loss ambulatory ability at around 12 years old and die in the twenties.Currently only steroids (prednisone or deflazacort) are routinely used in the patients with DMD, which can prolonged the ambulatory period for at least 2 years.There is still no curative treatment.
