Objective: Image fusion based on the maximum mutual information (MMI) algorithm is a fully automated method which superimposes two images of the same object.It is a promising tool for comparison of surgical outcomes.This study aimed to verify the accuracy and robustness of image fusion and to employ a serial system of guided implant surgery which could be evaluated by image fusion.
