Voluminous igneous rocks formed during the Paleozoic and Mesozoic eras in the Great Xingan Mountains, which is known as the east part of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt. The Great Xingan Mountains are the hot spots of studying tectonic evolution, orogeny and magma activity of northeast Asia, which has experienced and documented the geological processes in different periods and different tectonic domains. This range is characterized by the massive distribution of Phanerozoic igneous rocks, especially the magma activity from late Jurassic to early Cretaceous oriented along NE or NNE.Meanwhile this magmatic belt is superimposed upon the Late Paleozoic tectonic magmatic belt oriented along EW.
