Based on the expression of 21 genes in node-negative, estrogen receptor-positive Breast Cancer (BC), the Oncotype-Dx (ONC) clinical assay calculates a recurrence score (RS) which determines a Recurrence Risk (RR) (low, intermediate or high) for the likelihood of clinical recurrence.Although its use is on the rise, it is not entirely clear how well these RRs correlate with Histological Grade (HG) as determined by pathological examination.Utilizing data from a multi-institutional study of 458 cases, we applied three-way Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) analysis along with sensitivity and specificity analysis and Yorden score to find the optimal cut-offpoints at which the best correlation between the HG and RR can be achieved.
