Aim: Liraglutide has been used for treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus since 2009.In this study, the anti-diabetic effect and mechanisms of liraglutide were investigated in spontaneous diabetic animal model-KK/Upj-Ay/J (KKAy)mice.Methods: KKAy mice were treated by liraglutide (250 μg/kg per day) for 6 weeks.Oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) and insulin tolerance test (ITT) were used to measure glucose and insulin tolerance dysfunction.
