Colloidal quantum dots (CQDs) are nanoparticles that can be dispersed in solution.Their quantum confinement character endows CQDs with tuneable optoelectronic properties.As a result the materials are promising for next-generation solution-processed optoelectronic devices such as solar cells, photodetectors, and light emitting diodes.
