宋仁宗景祐年间,御史赵抃,恪尽职守,刚正不阿,弹劾不避权贵,深得仁宗皇帝的嘉许和同僚敬畏。在出任成都知府时,他轻装简从,仅以一琴一鹤相随,匹马入蜀。到任后,他廉洁勤政,大刀阔斧地整顿吏治,惩处、撤换了一大批贪官污吏,博得了百姓的拥护和爱戴。赵抃卒时,成都父老为之整理遗物,发现家徒四壁,一琴一鹤而已,故百姓亲切地称他为“琴鹤知府”。以上这则典故,对我们今天为官一任者,颇有警示作用:
