重大危险源是指长期地或者临时地生产、搬运、使用或者储存危险物品,且危险物品的数量等于或者超过临界量的单元(包括场所和设施)。一般来讲,单元指一个(套)生产装置、设施或者场所,或者同属一个工厂的且边缘距离小于500米的几个(套)生产装置、设施或者场所。为了预防重大、特大事故的发生,降低事故造成的损失,必须建立有效的重大危险源控制系统,加强对重大危险源的安全管理。为此,《安全生产法》规定,生产经营单位对重大危险源应当登记建档,进行定期检测、评估、监控,并制定应急预案,告知从业人员和相关人员在紧急情况下应当采取的应急措施。生产经营单位应当按照国家有关规定,将本单位重大危险源
