党的十六届五中全会提出建设“生产发展、生活宽裕、乡风文明、村容整洁、管理民主”的社会主义新农村的目标。近三年,中共中央又相继制定出台了关于“三农”问题的三个一号文件,这些政策的出台不仅为农村经济的发展指明了方向,也成为农村经济的强大推动力。那么,在全党全国都在加快社会主义新农村建设的新形势下,作为党和政府喉舌部门的新闻宣传部门,理应担当起加快新农村建设的生力军,在发展农村经济过程中找准方向,摆正位置,真正发挥积极作用。农村经济主要是指城市以外的地域空间的经济关系和经济活动的总称,它包括在农村地域空间中的农业、工业、商业、金融业、交通运输业和各种服务业等经济部门的经济关系和经济活动。根据这一经济关系和经济活动的复杂性,现主要从四个方面来阐述新闻报道在推动农村经济发展重点作用。
