作诗写文章,可以从正面进行渲染,也可以从侧面进行烘托。正面渲染,不用说,一般都得心应手,运用自如,当然渲染得如锦上添花也不是那么容易的。侧面烘托,则不是人人所能得心应手,运用自如的了,然而烘托得好,效果并不比渲染差,甚至还要好一些。王昌龄《少年行》:“白马金鞍从武皇,旌旗十万猎长杨。楼头少妇鸣筝坐,遥见飞尘入建章。”不写服饰,写“白马金鞍”,却显示了服饰的豪华;不写地位,写“从武皇”,却显示了地位的显贵;不写声势,写“旌旗十万”,却显示了声势的煊赫。这里没有正面写主人
