The functioning of an aviation engine totally depends on the quality and shape of the film cooling micro-holes on the turbine blade.Film cooling microholes have a significant effect on the index of an aviation engine,which is crucial for the performance of the engine.Because of the distinct cooling effect of the shaped micro-holes of turbine blades on aviation engines,shaped holes are gaining more and more attention from aviation equipment suppliers.Currently,shaped holes are machined by electric spark and longer laser pulses.[1] These methods have caused several unexpected quality problems such as the formation of a recast layer,ripples and irregular hole shapes.In fact,femtosecond laser drilling is true cold ablation working.
