去年第7期《美术观察》所刊由中央美院雕塑系集体创作的“抗日战争纪念群雕”图片及座谈纪要,向人们展示泥稿的同时并作了较高的自我评价。也许正是由于“抗日战争纪念群雕”的特殊意义,创作者们确是很认真深入地进行了多方面的探索和努力。也正缘于此,笔者不揣浅陋进一言,就教于作者及同道。 座谈纪要中阐述的所有缘由和结论也许都是正确的,但做出的泥稿本身并未如评价的那样好。 一、柱形结构不“新”。古今中外均不乏有以柱形结构雕刻的艺术形式。 二、纪念性特征模糊。仅靠“柱”的列置不足以具有准确的象征性;而象征性是纪念性雕刻的灵魂。目前的泥稿中象征性近乎零！所谓“柱”只呈现为四方或近于四方形的墙而已。要以柱为造型基础,便要充分保留“柱”的完整性和整体性。现在浮雕将“柱”食为残破纷乱的一堆。 三、所谓“叙事性”的铺陈过于具体而繁琐,加之“现实主义的重提(并非需要“重提”,况且不应操作为“写实”主义),导致了很琐碎的场景交待(仅此一点就很不“新”),结果使每一个单体均如插满糖葫芦的草把。 Last year, No. 7 “Art Observation” published by the Central Academy of Fine Arts Department of Sculpture Collective creation of “Anti-Japanese War Memorial Group Vulture” picture and summary of the discussion to show people mud at the same time and made a higher self-evaluation.
