There was such a classic scene in the history of Chinese oil painting: On the evening of September 29, 2004, an artist’s Forbidden City Series Oil Painting Exhibition opened at the Forbidden City in Beijing. Under the guidance of 40 palace ladies holding red lanterns, the guests stepped up to the Shenwu Gate and were spectacular.
