今年初,我所与香港理工大学中国商业中心合作,召开了“90年代上海市和江苏、浙江省交通运输发展研讨会”,在港逗留一周,参观了香港赤鱲角新机场工地。这是香港有史以来最大的基础设施建设项目,自1992年底填海工程开工以来,经过4年多建设,其规模宏大的航空新港已露雏形。通过参观和介绍,对香港新机场的规划建设留下了深刻印象,其建设经验不仅给我们以启示,也很值得借鉴。 一、香港新机场工程概况 香港是全球最繁忙的国际及区域性航空中心,其航空客货运量多年位居世界主要机场前列。现有的启德机场利用效率极高,但客货运输能力已趋饱和,虽经多次扩建,终因地处九龙闹
Earlier this year, in cooperation with the Hong Kong Polytechnic University China Business Center, I held the “Seminar on Transport Development in Shanghai and Jiangsu and Zhejiang Provinces in the 1990s” and spent a week in Hong Kong visiting Hong Kong's new airport site at Chek Lap Kok. This is the largest infrastructure construction project in Hong Kong ever since its commencement of reclamation at the end of 1992. After more than four years of construction, its massive new air port has taken shape. Through the visit and introduction, I was impressed by the planning and construction of the new airport in Hong Kong. The experience of its construction not only gives us inspiration but also is worth learning from. I. Overview of the New Airport Project in Hong Kong Hong Kong is the busiest international and regional aviation hub in the world. Its passenger and air cargo traffic has been at the forefront of major airports in the world for many years. The existing Kai Tak Airport is highly efficient but its capacity for passenger and freight transport has become saturated. Despite repeated expansion, the airport is located in Kowloon City
