Not long ago, another Soviet nuclear-powered marine surveillance satellite, Universe -1402, re-entered the atmosphere and caused panic throughout the world. Cosmos-954 was the first Soviet nuclear-powered nuclear-powered satellite whose radioactive debris scattered across the country’s northern part of Canada. The U-235 nuclear fuel in the satellite itself is not very dangerous, but its by-products of strontium, cesium and cerium are potentially deadly substances. Since then there were not any significant casualties in Canada, the United Nations has since allowed the use of space reactors in nuclear reactors where appropriate measures have been taken. This virtually opened the green light for the space powers to use space nuclear reactors.
