年仅16岁的重庆小女孩罗霞,出生两个月后就被生父母抛弃,养父母将她抱回了家。然而,罗霞10岁那年,慈母患癌症撒手人寰。养父因劳累过度,突发性脑血栓导致半身不遂,丧失了生活自理能力。比她大十岁的哥哥不堪家庭重压,也离家出走了。从此,照顾瘫痪父亲的重担全压在罗霞稚嫩的肩上。她的亲生父母在得知女儿的遭遇后,多次来劝她回去一起生活。而善良的小罗霞却依然要扛起照顾养父的重任。
