Background Ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI) is critical in the pathogenesis of acute failure and graft rejection.Regulatory T cells (Treg), a subset of helper T cells, had an ability to suppress the excessive immune responses in IRI.In the present study, the dynamic changes of peripheral Treg in the early phase of IRI were analyzed to investigate its connection with renal function and kidney tissue damage.
