Mobile technology becomes ubiquitous and pervasive and has been changed the nature of learning. The proliferation of mobile devices among students was led to conduct a variety of models and frameworks to describe the implementation of mobile devices for educational use. This study aimed to conduct a systematic review of existing studies that have been published between 2012 and 2017 concerning models and frameworks for mobile learning in higher education.A total of 10 models and frameworks were analyzed to find the success factors that affected mobile learning implementation. The findings revealed that there were 7 major success factors that affected designing and development of m-learning models and frameworks. These findings help us to see useful aspects that can be used to develop holistic mobile learning model concerning future trends in mobile learning technologies.
