研制和鉴定了Mk-111助推器的一个替代喷管组件。设计集中在用一个高级石墨GraphnolN3M取代4-D碳/碳上。对7种候选石墨材料进行了评估,结果选择了Graphnol。主要目的是替代现有喷管,以降低成本。球窝的缝隙间加有硅脂填料,以克服钢球的热损伤。喉部烧蚀量大约8.4%,比碳/碳材料低。替代喷管经19次发动机静态试验已得到确认和鉴定,现已投入生产。
An alternative nozzle assembly for the Mk-111 booster was developed and identified. The design focuses on replacing 4-D carbon / carbon with an advanced GraphnolN3M. Seven candidate graphite materials were evaluated and Graphnol was selected. The main purpose is to replace the existing nozzle to reduce costs. Ball socket between the filler plus silicone grease to overcome the thermal damage of steel balls. The amount of throat ablation is about 8.4%, lower than the carbon / carbon material. Alternative nozzle after 19 engine static test has been confirmed and identified, has been put into production.
