有人说:“爱哭的孩子,长大后聪明;不爱哭的长大以后可能是傻瓜。”这种说法是缺乏科学根据的。是否爱哭,与聪明、愚笨并不存在什么必然的联系。幼儿长大以后是否聪明,是遗传因素和环境因素共同作用的结果。遗传因素是智力发展的物质前提,环境因素(包括社会历史条件、教育和主观努力等)是智力发展的最重要条件。没有后者,再好的遗传基础也是没有用的。一个自幼就同环境隔绝的人,是不会有任何知识和才能的。十
