目前,我国正值改革之机,反映改革中的各类矛盾的影片逐渐增多起来。但,这类题材的影片普遍都面临一个难题,即如何处理好老干部中的保守派形象:写重了,难免有丑化之嫌;写轻了,又达不到振聋发聩的社会效果。而影片《祸起萧墙》在掌握这个分寸上却下了一番功夫,获得了较好的效果。首先,影片抓住梁政委、郭书记这类保守派的特征:他们思想僵化,官僚习气严重,凭着昔日的老本独断专行,不顾全局利益,大搞家长作风,顺者昌、逆者亡,成了横亘在改革之路上的绊脚石、拦路虎。同时,影片也肯定了他们思想深处并没有反人民的本质,主观上也是愿意为人民办好事的。如影片中,郭书记“雨夜检查灾情”,关心“蹲点”村里人民的利益等,就反映出了这一面。正是由于这样,郭书记才在事故发生以后,没有推卸责任、溜之大吉,也没有栽
