In order to create a promising process, this article explores the possibility of seeking a new method of boronizing. Liquid boronizing and powder boronizing are not suitable for mass production because of their technical disadvantages. It appears that gas boriding should be the basis for modern boronizing processes. Gas-boronization has been studied in considerable detail, but has not been adopted industrially.
