Meet each other with the pheasant as the most sincere, of which “Pheasant ” was given special meaning in the Book of Merit of different dynasties and other gift books. However, judging from the inherent logic of the etiquette itself, this meaning given by the later generations is not informed at all. Comparing the dedication used by various courtesies, we can find that courtesy originated in the primitive hunting era. The gifts only show the guests’ respect for the beholder, and there is no metaphorical or symbolic relationship between gifts and guests. The differences in the rites of different status held by later etiquette are determined by the different economic conditions of property of different status holders.
