“Analysis of Photometric Stresses in Hydraulic Structures” is a special book that uses optical measurement techniques to study structural deformation, stress, and strain. The book is divided into 5 articles, accounting for 15 chapters. The book has about 500,000 words and nearly 500 illustrations. In the first chapter, the basic knowledge of stress analysis, similarity theory and model design, and the basic principles of photomechanics are briefly discussed. The second article explains in detail the performance of photoelastic materials and the model making process, the main measuring devices for deformation and stress, and the different kinds of surface and volume forces.
