流变学是研究材料流动与变形规律的科学。高分子流变学是它的主要分支,是研究高分子流体包括溶液、熔体、悬浮液、胶乳、塑料溶胶等以及聚合物粉体的变形与流动行为的学科。高分子材料工业的兴起,推动古老的流变学年青、复兴,成为当代活跃的前沿学科之一。“流动”与“变形”的思想起源很早,可以追溯到17世纪的牛顿、虎克时代,甚至更早,但流变学作为单独的学科出现是在20世纪30年代,由美国科学家Bingham定名。
Rheology is a science that studies the laws of material flow and deformation. Polymer rheology is its main branch, is the study of polymer fluids, including solution, melt, suspension, latex, plastisol and polymer powder deformation and flow behavior of the discipline. The rise of polymer materials industry to promote the ancient rheology of youth, rejuvenation, become one of the leading active contemporary disciplines. The origins of “flow” and “deformation” originated very early, dating back to the Newtonian and Hooke era of the seventeenth century and even earlier, but rheology as a separate discipline emerged in the 1930s by the American scientist Bingham .
